This knife block is made from solid Wisconsin hardwoods. The outside two layers are red oak. In the middle is a piece of cherry and a piece of walnut. The block measures 6 1/2 inches high, 4 inches wide, and 3 inches thick. It is ideal for most steak knife sets and will keep them safe and handy on your table. All knife slots are 1/8" by 7/8" long and extend the length of the block. SB5
