November 1, 2005, update: Betsy and Bob are happy to tell all our friends that our Primrose family has a new member. Her name is Meggie. She is a orange belton Llewellin English Setter. Our older Llewellin setter, Sydney, is busy teaching Meggie all the K9 tricks to get around the rules of the house.
Woodworking has been part of our lives since the early 1970s. After we were married and got "sticker shock" looking at furniture prices, I said, "I could make something like that!" Over the years I made many pieces of furniture for our home and for friends and family. After encouragement from others, we decided to try our luck at selling smaller items at art fairs. When that became successful, I used the money we made to purchase quality woodworking machines for my shop, which was then in the basement of our home, much to my wife's dismay.
A few years ago, we found a beautiful piece of land in ten acres of woods in the rolling hills of southern Wisconsin, built a new home, and I now have a shop that is a separate building from the house. Betsy is still smiling! We still participate in art fairs and just recently decided to join the .com generation.
Since a website is always "a work in progress," we hope you will visit us often and find improvements and new, appealing products being offered. Quality workmanship, both in the construction and finishing, along with customer satisfaction and reasonable prices will always be our goal. Let us hear from you with questions, ideas, or comments at bobandbetsy@agiftofwood.com. We appreciate your interest!
Best regards,
Bob and Betsy St. Clair
